The 100: A Theatre Entrepreneur Bootcamp with the Toronto Fringe
Toronto Fringe is launching a new & exciting youth program this summer! We are trying to do something a little different: instead of another collective-creation-talk-about-your-feelings summer camp program we are going to empower 100 young people to take their art/careers into their own hands. 100 young people will be offered a free, all-access pass to the 150+ Fringe Festival plays, professional development & networking opportunities, the chance to create & program street theatre, flash mobs and guerilla marketing at the epicenter of the Toronto Fringe.
If you know anyone between the ages of 17 and 24 (or a precocious 15/16 year old) please alert them to The 100. It’s a great way for a young, passionate person to launch a career in the arts. If you work with youth – even better! I’d love to have a conversation about cross-promotion.
Please join and share The 100 Facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/TheFringe100
To view the simple online application form CLICK HERE. Applications due Friday at 5pm.
ALSO: since this program is so tied to ideas of social entrepreneurship and this building is BRIMMING with entrepreneurship enthusiasm, we would love to introduce some of you to these 100 youth. We have various workshops and info sessions scheduled in June. If any of the following topics are of interest to you, please let us know and we would love to have you speak as an expert.
1. Generating online video content
2. Street theatre/Invisible Theatre
3. Guerilla marketing (such as flash mobs)
4. How to be an emerging entrepreneur (in the context of the arts/culture sector)
Please shoot me an email If you’re interested in getting involved! (Or have any ideas on who I could connect with outside the building.)
