The Contemporary Art Forum Kitchener and Area (CAFKA) is an artist-run organization that produces an international biennial exhibition of contemporary art projects in the public spaces of the Waterloo Region. Through the exhibition, lectures, tours and related special events, CAFKA develops opportunities to learn about contemporary art and participate in its making – creating memorable experiences and contributing to the creation of an engaging, animated and stimulating urban environment.

CAFKA wants to hear what artists are thinking about and what drives their practice. The theme of the Spring 2013 biennial exhibition will therefore be determined by the topics and content identified within the proposals. Further, CAFKA seeks artists who are able to respond to the specific features of the local urban landscape and culture as sites of critique and reflection from a global perspective. Continue reading
