Canadian Art Gallery Educators (CAGE) present:

(Out)Reach: Striking the Balance between Reaching Out and Reaching In
A symposium at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto, May 5 – 8, 2012

Join your fellow Canadian Art Gallery Educators as we explore issues of community engagement, increased accessibility, new technologies and relevance – now and into the future. Head home with new contacts and informed ideas of how you can strike the balance in your organization and community.

Keynote speaker Lois Silverman, author of The Social Work of Museums, will discuss how galleries can initiate inspired community practice. Scott Sayre (Sandbox Studios, Minneapolis) will lead a workshop on using new technologies such as iPads in gallery spaces. Special sessions about huge public events such as Nuit Blanche will be rounded out by case studies highlighting best practices around the country.

Space is limited. Please visit cageart.ca for more information and to download a registration form.
