Free Workshop for Nonprofits Your Legal Obligations under the AODA

Did you know that you have a legal requirement to train all your staff and volunteers in how to offer accessible customer service? Did you also know that you are required by law to have an accessible customer service policy?

If you have already done these two things – Congratulations! If you haven’t, read on….

The Ontario Nonprofit Network is offering two free workshops on the legal obligations of nonprofits under the Accessible Customer Service Standard of the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act). As of January 1, 2012 all nonprofits (and businesses) in Ontario with one or more employees must comply with a set of legal requirements as it relates to people with disabilities.

To learn more about the AODA and your duties under it, come to either one of these two workshops:

May 10th, 1:00-3:30 p.m.  http://enotoronto2.eventbrite.com/
or
May 23rd, 1:00-3:30 p.m.  http://enotoronto3.eventbrite.com/

Both events are being held at CSI Spadina (215 Spadina Avenue) and are free.
