Source National Media Arts Summit ~ June 15th-18th at the Banff Centre in Alberta.

Dear IMAA Ontario members and colleagues, 

I hope you’re all well.  I am writing you as an IMAA Ontario regional director to update you on the The Source National Media Arts Summit taking place June 15th-18th at the Banff Centre in   Alberta.

 

  • The Source is a biennial national festival and summit of the Independent Media Arts Alliance (IMAA) representing producers, presenters, and distributors from across Canada and beyond.

A four day, international event featuring outstanding keynotes, interactive discussions, film screenings, performances, and media art installations at various venues at The Banff Centre!

 

 Early bird deadline: May 15, 2012 ~ Registration deadline: May 31, 2012

The Banff Source Summit page is now available with registration details. 

Please note that the program runs from the 15th to the 18th with an opening reception on the evening of the 14th.  The registration package is for 4 nights assuming that many people will want to leave on the 18th after the AGM which will end by 4PM. The registration package includes a meal plan not including the 18th for those who will be departing early.  Should you need to stay an extra night on either end of the program you can contact Catherine Perron, the Summit Coordinator directly to arrange your stay.  She can be reached by phone at 403.762.6194 or by email atCatherine_Perron@banffcentre.ca

Accommodation Options:  

$584.50 for 4 nights single private accommodation, 3x meals/day, reception dinner on June 14th, admission to the  Banff   hot springs , and Banff centre registration.

$434.34 for 4 nights shared accommodation, 3x meals/day, reception dinner June 14th admission to the Banff hot springs, andBanff centre registration.

$292.52 for no accommodation, 3x meals/day, reception dinner June 14th admission to the Banff hot springs ,and Banff centre registration.

 

If you are not attending the whole conference rooms at the Banff centre are $60 a night single occupancy, and the meal plan is $30 a day. 


How do I get to The Banff Centre?

The Banff Centre is located in the town of Banff, a 90 minute drive west of Calgary. From the airport, the transport options are varied and range from rental cars/vans to shuttles directly to Banff hotels. Bus service is available from Calgary International Airport to Banff and Lake Louise hotels through Banff Airporter and Brewster Transportation. http://www.banffcentre.ca/conferences/visitor/faq.asp#how
