This annual awards program recognizes the outstanding achievements of Ontario’s artists, creative professionals and cultural organizations.
It is open to all art practices and cultural industries including community arts, crafts, dance, music, opera, theatre, visual and media arts, writing, book and magazine publishing, digital media, film, television and sound recording.
The awards are divided into two categories and are each accompanied by cash awards:
Artist Award:
- recognizes a professional artist or content creator selected from five short-listed finalists
- recognizes an emerging talent selected by the Artist Award laureate.
Arts Organization Award:
- recognizes an organization involved in the production or distribution of work by professional artists or creative content producers selected from five short-listed finalists
