Call for Curatorial Proposals

Call for Curatorial Proposals

 Deadline: 16 January, 2012

Part of SAVAC’s mandate is to offer opportunities for emerging and professional curators. We are looking for proposals from our membership that critically engage contemporary artistic practice. As we consider submissions, we intend to include a broad range of artistic practices, including painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, sculpture and/or installation.

We encourage that you visit our website (www.savac.net), familiarize yourself with our mandate and our past & current exhibition programs before submitting a proposal. Strong proposals will be clear & concise, presenting ideas that challenge and engage a diverse group of participants and audiences.

Review Process: SAVAC’s Programming Committee will be reviewing the submissions for an initial review, after which they will request additional materials and a project budget from a select number of applicants to make a final decision for a show to be included in SAVAC’s future programming.
