Toronto Premiere of Quicksand and Nine, April 12-14

 Hello Everyone,

After our highly successful US premieres of our double bill Quicksand and Nine performed to packed houses and sustained standing ovations at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, inDANCE is thrilled to announce the Toronto premieres of both works from April 12-14 at the Fleck Dance Theatre in the Harbourfront Centre (207 Queens Quay West, Toronto, M5J 2M6).

Quicksand features ten of Toronto’s top male contemporary dancers: Paul Charbonneau, Gerry King, Jelani Ade-Lam, Sze-Yang Ade-Lam, Benjamin Landsberg, Ryan Lee, Roney Lewis, Hiroshi Miyamoto, Matthew Montgomery and Matthew Owen. View the Quicksand promo on Youtube.

Quicksand and Nine are two distinct interpretations of a single idea- nine archetypal emotions performed in two distinct dance languages- post modern and classical. Both works question and challenge the notions of art, identity, sexuality, culture and heritage in today’s global world, creating original, spiced-up, vulnerable journeys into a vivid labyrinth of 9 intense human encounters.

Tickets are currently available at the Harbourfront Centre box office (416)-973-4000 or online. We have fabulous discounts for arts workers, students, young people under 25 and for groups of more than 10. Hurry and book your tickets today and take advantage of these great offers!

inDANCE continues to strive to make accessible and engaging dance provoking the mind and body in today’s 21st century globalised world. We invite you to attend this unusual double bill of Quicksand and Nine and revel in the celebration of Canadian dance!

Your support means everything to us. See you at the Fleck Dance Theatre next month!
