The Inspirit Foundation (www.inspiritfoundation.ca) is a national grant-making organization that supports Canadians, particularly young adults, in building a more inclusive, pluralistic Canada. One way the organization does that is by funding projects that foster engagement and exchange between young Canadians of different religious,spiritual and secular beliefs.
The foundation is seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated student for a paid internship beginning in July 2012. The intern will work primarily on research and communications projects, providing support to the Program Manager and the Communications Lead.
§ Research on stakeholder groups, including organizations related to pluralism; religious, spiritual and secular beliefs; and young Canadians.
§ Update,create and manage contact lists.
§ Manage logistics for small events and meetings.
§ Proofread communications and programming materials.
§ Supportsocial media strategies.
§ Excellent research skills; market research experience is an asset.
§ Knowledge of Internet search tools and search engines.
§ Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
§ Experience with database software.
§ Strong attention to detail.
§ Solid organizational skills.
§ Superior writing skills.
§ Highly organized and goal-oriented.
§ Can-do attitude.
§ Active interest in issues related to pluralism, inclusion and community building.
§ Currently registered as a full-time student in a post-secondary program.
§ Eligible to work in Canada.
