An exciting all-ages event that brings the Latin American culture to life in the City of Toronto

The Ontario Latin Arts Festival is a unique two-day event that celebrates the culture of Latin America on Saturday, July 11th at Mel Lastman Square and on Sunday, July 12th at North York Civic Centre in Toronto. This flavourful festival will showcase the finest Latin music and dance found in Canada, along with featured films, art show and dance workshops.

Attendees will enjoy live entertainment by top performers such as Cassava Latin Band, one of Toronto’s most popular salsa bands; Mariachi Fuego, great performers of mariachi music and Ruben Vazquez quartet, Cuban music masters. Giovanni Ruiz, with his masterful play of various flutes; Pablo Gutierrez, a master of the Spanish Guitar. Samba Toronto, brazilian musician and dancers. The Calderons a duet of sisters from Chilean.

There will be a showcase of Latin dances by Sentir Venezuela dance group219 Salsa Dance Group and Dami Dance.

Traditional Latin food will be available from a variety of vendors. Additionally, several businesses will be on-site educating the public on the Latin culture and commerce.

  • Mel Lastman Square, 5100 Yonge Street, Toronto. Saturday, July 11th, 2015, from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
  • The North York Civic Centre, 5100 Yonge Street, Toronto. Sunday, July 12th, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
